Fangcon 2016 Guests of Honor:
Performer GoH Wielder Wolf
Wolf Pup Wielder discovered the furrry fandom in 1993 and has been involved in one way or another ever since. Wielder is actively involved in promoting furry awareness via public appearances including charity fundraisers and his one-wolf show, Wielder's Moments. His fursuiting antics have included numerous appearances at fur cons, ballets, operas, symphonies, as well as furry friendly clubs and restaurants throughout the U.S. Wielder is also an artist whose creative gifts include ceramics, quilt making, woodcraft, drawings, and paintings. Wolf Pup Wielder is a gifted writer, entertainer, and most recently a puppeteer. Happy Two Feathers, the bucktoothed love child of a dragon and an ewok, has started tagging along with Wielder to fur cons and taking center stage. His other interests include comics, table top games, video gaming and all things 'geek' related. Wielder has lived as one-third of a gay throuple for nine years in a quiet suburb south of Houston.
Artist GoH Wildlion
Wildlion, or Wild was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina and has been drawing since before birth-- seriously, there are cave drawings in the womb. Wild practices art professionally and has been freelancing in art and design for over ten years. While being a pathetic starving college kid, they got into furry art and were met with immediate success. Now Wild mostly eats pizza, complains, and cries themself to sleep every night because of the furry atrocities they draw for said pizza.
DJ Dadius Windlow (a.k.a. Jayce BlackWolf)
Dadius was born in Nashville Tennessee on Sept. 16, 1969. He studied Audio Visual in high school and then moved on to being a production engineer for WSM-FM and also an on-air personality. Working for WSM also gave him the chance to work as a production engineer for the Grand Old Opry.
Later in 2000, he moved onward to bigger and better things and worked as a DJ at several local bars in Seattle, WA. This propelled his career as he then was heard by a producer and opened for Moby in 2004 at a 3500 person closed rave. He then began creating his own music and selling the mixes and his original style of music at his shows. DJ Dadius now has approximately 11 albums of his original works and remixes.
Finally ending his musical wave through the city of Seattle, he headed back home to Nashville, TN. His passion had always been for the fandom known as "furries" and he being a horse owner and handler set him in motion to be the first hard-working DJ in a full gypsy vanner fursuit. His current music tastes include but are not limited to, EDM of all kinds, electro, techno, rave, dubstep and house. His roots are also planted back in old school electro and true underground industrial music. He does have a flair for the dramatic and always includes an amazing stage show along with his musical sets.
"I believe that the DJ scene needs expansion. Not just guys up there turning knobs and filtering and fading pre-recorded mixes. The fans want to see you work hard and also be able to entertain them. That is my goal."
DJ Dadius recently played a show in Knoxville, TN at the Fangcon Convention held in TN. Here are a few quotes from the reviews....
"Really enjoyed meeting you at FangCon, and, wow, your set was fantastic! And thanks for the compliment while I was playing the set after yours, that meant a lot!"
"Loved your set!! Rave was awesome!!"
"Awesome set you played at Fangcon"
DJ Dadius has already agreed to return to the convention in the future and will be bringing a brand new stage show and set.
Past Fangcon (2015) GoH:
Artist GoH Tzologist
My friends convinced me to post of FurAffinity, and at first I resisted because I am kind of slow when it comes to computer stuff, and was kind of intimidated by the notion of sharing art on a public forum. I would come to enjoy the back and forth with other artists. I would try posting on other art sites but many of them failed, or their interface was overly complicated, but I am not shy of trying out other venues, and I love seeing art from people all over the world.
For a long long time I had always wanted to do an on-going comic series, but never could find a story that I wouldn't end up losing interest in, and Anime Guy and Dino Buddy (my on-going comic) happened kind of by mistake. I used to try to do that Nanowrimo thing (the write a novel in a month thing), I just really like writing, always have. I think I succeeding doing the required 10k words twice. I know I made it at least once, and Anime Guy and Dino Buddy is actually a mish-mash of all of the better parts of the stories I attempted to write for NanoWriMo. The first Anime Guy and Dino Buddy comic was meant to be a one time deal and a deliberately terrible joke. I liked the characters, though, and did another stinker comic, and decided I needed to keep these two around, and that's the true origin story of Anime Guy and Dino Buddy also known and Ed and Heath
It's only been in the last four or so years that I finally wanted to expand my artistic horizons. I have really very little formal training in art. I picked it up around age four because I was just doing what my big brother did, as is required of all younger siblings. He drew, so I wanted to draw too, although the subject matter was vastly different. He liked drawing the Bionic man's arm. My mom said he must have drawn it hundreds of times, but I also remember my brother taking art very seriously, trying to learn how to draw from books, but I used art as a replacement for toys. Oddly I had little interest in actual toys, but created my own creatures and drew stories on paper with them. My mom luckily saved some of these "story drawings" of mine. It still cracked me up after all these years, as when I was finished with my story I would draw a sign (like a wooden sign) stuck in the ground with the words "The End" on it.
I have been buying books with reference pictures in them to get better at drawing architectural, mechanical and other non cartoon animal related subjects. I originally set out to buy a book with pictures of modern regular cars, but not finding one I ended up drawing a lot of classic cars, especially Mercedes Benz, which (on account of studying them so much) is my favorite classic car. I am still not very good at it yet. I think every artist should never ever become complacent with their current skills, and they should each strive to do better.
Writer GoH Gre7g
Gre7g lives in Alabama with his wife, Kyoht, and a small menagerie of pets. He enjoys writing stories about monsters in love, brews beer that he won’t drink, programs computers that don’t look like computers, and fantasizes about worlds without so many people in them.
“Skeleton Crew” is Gre7g’s third novel. His first two were about werewolves and minotaurs, respectively. He’s written a couple of novellas and a handful of short stories; most of which can be found on his website gre7g.com
Musician GoH Potoroo
Potoroo (Roo for short) is a pink-mohawked musician, podcaster, blogger, con chair and armchair low-budget filmmaker from the Great White North. For a living he helps make musicians famous, having worked first for Universal Music (and great Canadian exports Drake and...Justin Bieber...sorry) and now for Dale Speaking where he has worked with established acts (Alexisonfire, Bush, Tokyo Police Club) and amazing Up & Comers (Megan Lane, The Strumbellas, Jess Moskaluke.) He has performed in bands and as a solo act since the mid-90s, a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, keyboards, bass, banjo, accordion and singing. His recent project has him releasing a series of songs inspired by bad horror movies, which he calls 'B-Folk.'
Potoroo is Benevolent Dictator (tm) of Canada's Camp Feral, the World's oldest outdoor furry event and fourth longest lasting convention in history, where he has incorporated themes of summer camp slasher flicks and b-movies in it's annual themed web series. As host of the Fuzzy Notes podcast he has featured over two hundred songs made by furry musicians. Previously, he has acted in dozens of stage productions, three low-budget gay comedies, and one ultra low-budget black and white silent horror movie.
Fursuiter GoH Jase Husky
Jase has been a furry since 1995 after seeing furry art on furnation.com. Jase went to his first convention in 2005, MFM. He got his second revision of Jase in 2006 in time for MFM and since that day he has loved to entertain people and help with charities, and also to make people smile. Jase works as a computer tech, and on the side he fixes electronic devices, works on cars, and sometimes fursuits for charity or special organizations. Never try and let your disabilities get you down, you can overcome most anything with love and friendship and the support of your friends.

The Frozen Oasis
Frozen Oasis is a group led by Etheras and Soron that holds parties on Friday nights at several conventions around the United States, usually including a dance room with live DJs and a laser light show. In the bar area/party room, frozen golden margaritas and strawberry daiquiris are typically served, however the drinks can and do change to reflect the convention’s theme, as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
The nefarious little white fennec that helped put this convention together, Etheras is a fox driven by pursuit of perfection. This has lead him to question and re-imagine many aspects of what passes for furry cons, and also to drive Soron crazy with nagging demands about every little detail. Etheras (the character) entered the fandom less than a year ago. Before this, Etheras (the person) used the fennec Jaspian as his character. He started the Frozen Oasis Parties alongside Soron in 2006, and since there have been over 25. He is a well-known DJ and music-producer and artist. Etheras is also a proficient fashion and costume designer, and is easily-recognized by his outlandish (and provocative) costumes, that have become a trademark of his at furry cons (Often leaving trails of feathers in his wake).
Soron the Green Archer Panda, AKA: The Booze Bear:
Soron is a giant panda that stands at 6'6" tall and is often seen cloaked in dark green, brown, and black archer's garb from the Renaissance period. His leather armor is embellished with a head of a fennec and has a wolf head on his belt buckle, both tributes to his friends. He totes a green bow and long arrows with green and yellow fletching, leading Soron to also be called "The Green Archer Panda". Soron often tends bar at various room parties including the Frozen Oasis and this has earned him the nickname “The Booze Bear”. This affectionate term was first “coined”, by Soron’s friend Draconis, many years ago.
Ipequey is an inflatable werewolf (read as "harmless") from Austin, TX who has been in the furry fandom since 1996. Ever since his early exposure to the furry community on FurryMuck, he knew he found others that were just like him in more ways than he ever thought would be possible. As a result of the open-arm acceptance from the Furry community, Ip (as he's called by friends) is just as happy to help new furs find their footing both in the fandom and with life.
Eager to give back to the Furry community, you can find him running the Texas Furry Fiesta website & part of the fursuit track, for both TFF and Wild Nights. He also enjoys commissioning art, fursuiting for fun, charity and at furry conventions all over the world. He's also known for keeping the general populous of the fandom intoxicated serving both his home brews and original mixed drinks at conventions. Feel free to introduce yourself to him, he's always up for making new friends.
Outside of furry, you can find him hard at work home brewing beer, listening to all styles of music, hosting bad movie nights and eager to spend time with his friends.
Pacer has been involved in the Furry community since 1998 and has been costuming since then. As the Fursuit Track Lead for Furry Fiesta and Wild Nights, he organizes all the fursuit events for those conventions (with help from some awesome people!). He worked for several years as mascot for a hockey team and also costumed for organizations such as The American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes and Give Kids the World. Pacer has given classes at the Red Cross on how to play their mascot, Ready Dog.
